Delete your account
Effective 22 October 2026
This page explains how to delete your Yusee account and everything attached to it. Yusee is the second phone number app published by Yusee. Deletion is permanent: we cannot restore an account once it has been erased.
From the app
This is the most direct route, and it takes effect immediately:
- Open Yusee and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Choose Delete my account, at the bottom of the screen.
- Confirm. You are signed out and your account is marked for deletion.
By e-mail
If you no longer have the app, or can no longer sign in, write to [email protected] from your account's e-mail address, with "account deletion" as the subject. We confirm it is really you, then handle the request within thirty days.
What is deleted
- Your account and your e-mail address.
- Your text messages, sent and received, including their content.
- Your call history: numbers, times and durations.
- Your Yusee number, which is released back to the carrier.
- Your push notification token.
- Your team membership, and any invitations you sent.
Your contacts and their notes are not affected: they never left your device in the first place. They are gone when you uninstall the app.
What we have to keep, and for how long
Everything above is erased from our servers within thirty days of your request.
Two exceptions, imposed by law rather than by us:
- Billing records — amounts, dates and transaction identifiers — are kept for seven years under Canadian accounting obligations. They hold no message content.
- Telecommunications routing records held by our carrier are kept for the periods its own regulator imposes.
Before you delete
If a subscription is running, cancel it first: deleting the account does not by itself stop the billing. And if you are attached to your number, note that it will not be given back to you once released.
