Terms of Use
Effective 24 October 2026
This page says what we provide, what you owe us, and what happens if either of us ends the service. By creating a Yusee account, you accept these terms. If any part does not suit you, do not open an account.
Who you are contracting with
Yusee is a second phone number service operated by YUSEE GLOBAL, located at 5200 Yonge Street, North York, Toronto, Ontario M2N 5P6, Canada. When you open an account, this is the company you are contracting with. For any question about these terms, write to [email protected].
What we provide
A Canadian phone number, separate from your personal number, usable from the Yusee app and from the web to receive and make calls and texts, according to the plan you choose.
The number is assigned to you by our telecommunications carrier. It is reserved for you as long as your subscription is active. You do not own it: you cannot port it to another provider, and we cannot guarantee that any particular number stays available.
We do our best to keep the service available, without guaranteeing it runs uninterrupted. Outages at our carrier, on your network or on your device can stop a call or a message from going through.
Yusee is not an emergency service
You can dial 911 from Yusee, but the call does not go through your Yusee number: it is handed to the phone, which places it over your carrier line, the only one that passes your location to the dispatch centre. So always keep an active mobile plan on your device: without one, no emergency call can go through. This is a limit of the service, not a fault.
Your account
You must be at least thirteen to open an account, and eighteen to take out a paid subscription. An account belongs to one person. Signing in uses a six-digit code sent to your email address: keep access to that inbox, it is what protects your account.
You are responsible for what happens on your number. If you believe someone else has access to it, write to us immediately.
What you may not do with your number
- Send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, phishing or fraud.
- Harass, threaten or impersonate anyone.
- Resell, rent or share your number with third parties, or use it as an automated sending gateway.
- Work around your plan's limits by technical means.
- Use the service for anything prohibited by Canadian law or by the law of your province.
These uses lead to immediate suspension of the account, with no refund.
Prices, billing and taxes
The prices shown on the pricing page are in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes are added at payment.
The subscription is monthly and renews automatically each month, on the same date, until you cancel. There is no mandatory annual commitment.
Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see your full card number. If a payment fails, we may retry; if payment remains impossible, the service is suspended and the number is then released.
Some usage is billed on top of the plan: texts, outbound calls and minutes beyond those included, depending on the plan you chose. These amounts appear on your next invoice.
We may change prices. A price change is announced to you by email at least thirty days before it applies to your subscription. If the new price does not suit you, you can cancel before it takes effect.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time, from the app or by writing to us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the monthly period you have already paid for: you keep the service until then, and nothing further is charged.
A month already started is not refunded, except where applicable law requires it or where the service did not work through our fault. In that case, write to us: we look at every request.
After cancellation, your number stays reserved for you for seven days. After that it is returned to the carrier and cannot be reassigned to you.
You can delete your account at any time: the steps are on the Delete your account page. Note: deleting the account does not cancel the subscription on its own. Cancel first.
When we may end the service
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that endangers the network, or whose payments remain unpaid. If we close an account through no fault of yours, we refund the paid and unused portion of the subscription.
We may also stop offering the service. In that case we give you at least thirty days' notice by email and refund the unused portion.
Your personal information
How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
What we are not answerable for
The service is provided as is. We are not responsible for the consequences of a call or a message that does not go through, of a network interruption, or of the use you make of your number.
Our liability to you, on any ground whatsoever, does not exceed the amount you paid us over the previous twelve months. Nothing in these terms sets aside rights the law gives you and that cannot be waived, including those under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law applicable in Quebec and in Canada. The courts of Quebec have jurisdiction, without depriving you of the right to bring a claim before the court where you live when the law allows it.
Changes to this page
If we change these terms in a significant way, we tell you by email at the address on your account at least thirty days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date counts as acceptance. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
